How to do: illuminated nose and pilot mounted ditch lights...

 glue the Sunrise Enterprises N-626
Ditchlights on Bracket on the pilot.

drill holes in the ditchlights and thru the pilot

view from the underside with the holes

make a "lens" on the "fibre optics" with a soldering iron
IMPORTANT: dont touch the fibre optics with the iron
go only as close as possible and you can see that the
heat from the iron "forms" a lens...
place the "stil warm" fibre optics right in place
so the lens goes in to the ditch light hole

 view from a different spot

bend the fibre optics with the heat from a soldering
iron (again, dont touch the fibre optics with the iron
go only as close as possible, if you touch the fibre
it will loose the possibility to bring the light from
the LED to the ditch light and you have to start again)

bend the fibre optics as you can see on this picture
and glue it in place with a two component glue

here you can see the mechanical work on the drives.
for headlights and pilot mounted ditchlights you have
to made one recess, if you have noselights and pilot mounted
ditchlights you have to made two recess

drive is ready with one SMD bright white LED

this is the result, looks prototypicaly...

both drives are ready for the modificated shells
and frames - why I use two LED's ? - with DCC you
have the possibility to turn the LED's separate
on, so you can drive with the head/nose light only
or you can turn the ditchlights on too (nice
 feature...)

inside of the nose with noselights

this is the result, looks prototypicaly...

Take a look on this page, here is a description
